The long line from the Sengakuji station in Toei Asakusa Line(distance
140M) |
The entrance road
There were souvenir shops on the right and food stalls on the left of a
narrow entrance road to the Sengakuji temple. In normal days I can get
to the temple in a few minutes from the station. I felt the temple was
very much far away today. |
I arrived at the Gate (Naka-mon) of Sengakuji temple at last. |
And then, there are more people between me and the main building
(Hondou). |
I arrived at the Main Gate (San-mon) of Sengakuji temple at last. |
The San-mon Gate |
Paying worship ritual at Hondou took time.
But this was nothing compared with the next thing I wanted to do. |
Many people!
When I looked at the direction where tombs of Akou loyal retainers are
located, I saw more people. |
Waiting time was 60 minutes
I knew the Akou loyal retainers' cemetery was small, so I assumed it would
take a little time, but I was wrong. The placard said it would be 60 minutes
from where I was standing. |
With the smoke of an incense stick, the cemetery could not be clearly seen. |
To the right is the beginning of the cemetery. It took so much time to
come this far.
Long lines did not progress at all. |
I thought that worship was impossible and gave up.
Although it took 30 minutes after coming out of the Sengakuji station,
it is usually at most 10 minutes. |
